🔗 Share this article Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday? "{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton. "Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win." The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, readers and a range of special visitors. For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan. The singer's new album, Knees Up, is out on the weekend. Football and Parenting Life Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player. "{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want! "I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again. "Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead." Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager. "I won't force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said. "I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too. "My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!" Premier League Forecasts Saturday, 22 November Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit. In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners. This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row. The expert's prediction: 1-2 Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3 AI's outlook: 0-2 Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me. In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again. The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest manager. Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back? I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip. Sutton's prediction: 2-0 The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2 AI's pick: 1-1 Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games. A family member told me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice. The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium. The Bees have not had great success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a threat. The analyst's forecast: 2-1 Olly's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1 The computer's prediction: 2-1 Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches. They have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight. As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far. The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them. The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month. But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions. Considering the home side's home form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points. Sutton's forecast: 1-0 The guest's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0 AI's outlook: 2-0 Anfield, 15:00 GMT It is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
