Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has invited the family of a Guard member killed last week to attend the White House.

He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

The president said he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed journalists. “And in the same way with him, recover or not.”

Mourners came together over the past few days at the high school in the state to remember Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to assist public safety in Washington DC.

“She was the individual that educators desired. She behaved with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her previous school, stated to the media. “She was caring, caring and always ready to assist people.”

Law enforcement have accused a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a military police officer with excellence, according to the military.

“She had a lot of goodness and she absolutely had courage,” Morrisey addressed the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
