Mikel Arteta feels assured that his team can keep managing with player absences following revealing that attacker Kai Havertz is not ready for a few more weeks.

Extended Absence for Havertz

Havertz has been out since August due to an operation on his knee. Initially expected to be available earlier in December, Arteta explained the player hit a snag when stepping up his recovery and failed to reach “to the next level.”

“We learned, and we were able to put together a group that is considerably steadier and has increased versatility,” commented Arteta.

Tactical Decisions for Brentford Clash

This news presents a selection headache for Wednesday’s fixture at the Emirates against Brentford. Arteta must choose between continuing to use Mikel Merino, who got a goal in an unfamiliar forward role against Chelsea, or bringing back Viktor Gyökeres, who made a return after a fitness issue off the bench.
