Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who breached a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile features recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Numerous of attendees had gathered in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film version of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, securing two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
